International Association of Space Entrepreneurs

PROMOTING GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN SPACE VENTURES

Gregory Emsellem

4th Space Investment Summit - May 28th, Washington DC

http://www.spaceinvestmentsummit.com/upcoming.html

I've heard of this event organized by National Space Society for their 3rd opus were unfortunately we could not attend.
I can only say that at least they got some serious support by Boeing and Lockheed Martin and seems definitely Space oriented, and an investment conference focused on space can only do good to all entrepreneurs in our field

good to luck to everyone who will be there

Just an add-on to be more precise:
the event will be held just before the 27th International Space Development Conference organized by NSS

the venue is the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington DC

I'm looking to be there, just working out the details.

Thanks, Gregory...

And it's well within reason that I could be there. I'll explore some details, supposing that there no objection from the "Powers, Principalities, and Spiritual Forces... etc." who may have other ideas.

Probably a good idea to remember, these company reps are proud of their company's heritage... talk up Boeing's boosters, and especially their Dreamliner. And, you might suggest the possibility they got a raw deal from DOD on the tanker deal.)

But, do some research about all the participants... anyone not agree this would be good advice?

If you DO go to this Joel, maybe we could carpool up there....

Final assessment on "availability" in a busy, Fast Track legislative session (personal "availability" - not revenue availability, that is) should be made in the next few hours.

That Carpool idea sounds almost as good as the conference itself, and I'll let you know soon. Tell your father I'm working on "that Thing" we discussed on Thursday, and will talk to him about that and some other ideas as early as tomorrow.

arg!, turns out I have to be in NC on the 28th to give a presentation on AVRC and Team STELLAR to the NC Aerospace Alliance. Let me know if you're still planning on going, I may have a friend or two that may be going to this still. -RDJR

History turns on a dime, eh, Richard? No worries.

I organized Space Investment Summit 2 in Dallas last May on behalf of the National Space Society, was a speaker at SIS3, and may participate in SIS4...these conferences generally are worth attending, particularly for persons new to the space entrepreneurship area....great places to network, meet up and coming startups, and perhaps a few potential investors...at least two deals came out of my conference last May...

Burton, thanks for the recommendation. That was enough to have made it a priority for me, rather than a "if I can." That also mean an investment of precious time and funding, for this busy SE, so count that as testimony to the power of your recommendation. It has certain credibility.

(Besides, I could always use a trip to my home town) Thanks.

Oh, and sorry about taking too long to respond. "Dinner for eight and seven spoons," as they say.

Thank you for this very useful informations.

Knowing that, even thought not many VC are present (as expected would say some evil-spirited observers), some deal do happen is indeed a proof of the high value of these events.

The deals at my conference were not with VCs...and you should expect that doing deals with VCs is very unlikely in the space industry, unless you are talking telecom or telematics...B
