I came across a document from the Canadian Space Agency a while back listing 54 specific technologies that the CSA would be interested in commercializing with the help of private business (it's included with this post).
With a little bit of the appropriate due diligence, it seems reasonable to expect to get pretty much the same sort of list from just about any national space organization (well, maybe not the Chinese but certainly the Americans, the Russians and most of the other major players).
I understand that it would cost money to assess each individual idea on a list of this nature but I'm curious to know the order of magnitude costs to perform a proper assessment.
I'm also curious about the assessment timeframe and the average number of business ideas I'd need to plow through before I found an investment opportunity with a reasonable return on investment.
I would like to provide a reply to this post but I was instructed to join this group first. I would be pleased to do so but how to do it? Richard Mains
Hello Richard. I don't get on this website as much as I used to. However, I'd still appreciate reconnecting with you and perhaps discussing the original post (if you're still interested).
My understanding is that you've already joined the group.
