I am a lecturer in design and I'm really interested in linking up with people who are interested in this area. How can we make this happen?

I am currently working on a documentary about the emerging private spaceflight industry, and my company is looking for interview subjects, as well as, investors. We have already started production with help from an initial private investor; however, we have met a few setbacks. First and foremost, my editing hardware has officially died on me due to a faulty video card. Second, we are looking for investors (who will have the added benefit of being featured sponsors in the documentary and all it's advertising). If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in becoming an investor, or aiding us in the making of this documentary, please contact me or check out our website:

You can also view stills from the interviews and footage taken so far.

Thanks,
Meg

I am pleased to announce that The Griffith Corporation's GRIFFITH BROADCASTING Channel is now devoted to space-oriented programming. Together, let us work together to build the ISAE in 2009 and explore new frontiers together.
Happy New Year.

Hello,
Looks like I've wandered into the IAAA hardware and propaganda wing. (the scent of fresh paint, turned metal and electrical arcing is unmistakable)

It's a great pleasure to join this talented group!

Any and all designers (just out of school prefered) who would be interested in looking to possibly work on both sub-orbital and orbital spaceplanes, send me an email please.

Hello Deepak. Your questions are interesting, but not relevant to this group's interests as listed above. I see that you have already posted the same questions to the Space Experts group, which is much more appropriate for these types of questions. Good luck.

Excellent! Welcome, Eric. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject.

I have been thinking about the emerging space industry for some time as a potential source of revenue for art and design work. It seems to me that these folks will need advertising and marketing, even sales and strategic planning in a creative way within the next five years and beyond. Right now, it is all about proving that a technology like commercial suborbital spaceflight is possible. Then, the issue is about selling tickets. An advertising company is one thing. An advertising company that understands the essence of space is another.

Also, my aim is to make space appear comfortable, warm, even sensuous. Right now it is as cold as fish. Art can convey this vision more effectively than any white paper, business plan, or even book. My dream is to bring such a vision to life on film, because it combines writing, visual arts, music, and storytelling in a package that the military would call "full spectrum dominance." I've even storyboarded a docudrama in hopes of pitching it to a production company. Technology has reached the point that a production like this would be manageable with modest funding; still, I would want sponsors like FedEx and Starbucks.

Artists play such a key role in setting the tone and inspiring entire generations to invent the future we dream about. Maybe it's because artists really don't like to manage and delegate and push paper around and tell folks what to do. We like to imagine, create, and hand it off to someone who knows how to get the job done.
