Ohio has NASA Glenn, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and so many great liberal arts colleges like Ohio Wesleyan and research universities like Ohio State. Getting these cultures to think together on outer space could yield great wealth. This online global community that Guillermo has put together, I assume on the model of Facebook may prove better than the traditional model of city chapters anyway.

Thanks for joining IASE. I'm also from Ohio, the Dayton area and am still the point person for the IASE chapter there, though I was not able to devote the time necessary to building it up during the last few years.

I am in Honolulu for at least another year doing full time doctoral work in the international relations of planetary defense. I plan to seek an adjunct academic position somewhere on the mainland next year combined with consulting work in the private sector or service in government.

Tell me more about your interest in space.
