A little about me...
Hello there.
I am currently completing my PhD and am a Lecturer in the School of Design, Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering at Queensland University of Technology. My PhD research interests lie within the fields of presence research, digital technology, interior architecture and design, and design and simulation of Human Space Transportation Systems. My professional background is in design (interior architecture) and my ongoing research focus is in the area of Human Factors and Habitability Research in Aerospace transportation.
My focus for this research has been fostered through my participation in the Space Station Design Workshop within the Institute of Space Systems (IRS), implemented by researchers for the European Space Agency (ESA). The IRS is a research institute within the University of Stuttgart.
In terms of research here at QUT, I have undertaking various projects which include the involvement of NASA and other Aerospace companies; the most recent of which is a conceptual 3D digital design of a space station testing interior design and habitability in aerospace engineering. I see these activities as having significant potential to be taken to great further detail within the research domain, where such a project could promote fantastic opportunities in digital mock-ups, virtual prototyping and collaborating with both engineering and design disciplines.
Please feel free to contact me if you are within this field or are interested in participating in this research.
Have a wonderful day!
